About
The Japan Society of Northern California (JSNC) is a nonprofit organization in San Francisco that has been fostering connections between Japan and NorCal, especially San Francisco and our sister city, Osaka. For over 120 years, they have highlighted innovations, entrepreurship, and community that has arisen from the international relationship.
Mission
Working with the Marketing and Communications team, our goal was to present JSNC in a fresh and modern era. With the 120th Anniversary approaching, we integrated updates that would make a local and international impact.
The design and production of the 90-page 125th Anniversary Gala booklet for 500 attendees including Sony, MUFG, ANA Airlines executives and Japanese government officials, blended traditional Japanese bookbinding, colors, and typography with modern clarity.
