Fine Art Museums of San Francisco

About

The Fine Arts Museums of San Francisco (FAMSF) is a collective organization overseeing two prominent institutions: the de Young Museum and the Legion of Honor. It is dedicated to preserving and presenting diverse art collections, fostering cultural education, and engaging the community through exhibitions and programs.

Mission

As an intern, I collaborated closely with the entire graphics team to create various assets, ensuring that each project reflected the museum’s standards and mission. I prioritized fostering strong relationships across multiple departments, with external vendors, and within the broader community, emphasizing the importance of culture and connection. My passion for Art History allowed me to support diverse teams—including Marketing, Exhibitions, and the In-Museum store—providing a well-rounded experience in a workplace I had always aspired to join. Additionally, I participated in workshops designed to enhance interns' knowledge of different gallery functions and to amplify the voices of diverse artists, enriching my understanding of inclusivity in the arts. As one of my first internships, this role was instrumental in accelerating my development both professionally and as a designer.
